Lesson 16 of 25
In Progress

Business E-Mail

Lesson Summary

Do you know those free yahoo and Gmail accounts? Although they are convenient and help you keep costs minimal, they can also come at a high cost — the ability to gain approvals from creditors. Instead of abccompany@gmail.com, you’ll need something like contact@abccompany.com.

Creditors typically frown on these free emails, because they don’t scream professional. Setting up a business email address is easy and can be an add-on option when registering your domain name while setting up your website.

Although some companies will make you pay for your email, most will allow you to have an unlimited number of emails at no extra cost. This varies by web hosting company, so make sure you ask before opening an account.

Next Steps:

Setup a professional email with your web hosting company or Google Workplace.
